At MMI, we believe the recipe for quality data is driven by site compliance. Collecting consistent high quality imaging across all sites in a multi-center clinical trial is critical to ensure homogeneity in the dataset for an accurate evaluation of imaging outcomes.
At MMI, we believe the recipe for quality data is driven by site compliance. Collecting consistent high quality imaging across all sites in a multi-center clinical trial is critical
to ensure homogeneity in the dataset for an accurate evaluation of imaging outcomes. MMI offers site screening, training, and qualification services as part of our clinical site management services prior to the start of a study, to make sure sites understand and appreciate the imaging requirements before subject enrollment begins.
During site screening, MMI verifies that each study site can reliably support the imaging requirements of your trial. We will gather information on site staffing, infrastructure, and capabilities through a site screening questionnaire. Our goal is to identify sites that have the technical capabilities to consistently acquire and transfer high-quality imaging to MMI for further processing.
During site training, our experienced Technical Services staff will develop custom site training materials based on the imaging protocols developed for the study. MMI places an emphasis on the similarities and differences in the image acquisition requirements for the research study relative to standard-of-care protocols. Depending on the scope and complexity of the trial, we will administer the training via web conferencing, delivery of electronic content for self-paced review, and/or onsite instruction. After training, MMI will continually monitor the sites for ongoing compliance to the imaging protocols.
In the final step of site qualification, MMI verifies that sample imaging collected by each site meet predetermined quality standards specific to the study. The sample imaging may be collected from volunteer subject or phantom scans, depending on the study requirements. As needed, we provide feedback on image quality and compliance to the imaging protocol, and suggestions on acquisition technique to ensure homogeneity across sites.
