We use industry-leading software solutions to accomplish multi-modality image review and advanced quantitative analysis for clinical trials. These validated software packages are vendor independent, DICOM compliant, and, when integrated into our HIPAA- and 21 CFR Part 11-compliant data management system, create a seamless system for image management, analysis, and reporting.
We provide independent image analysis for an array of cardiovascular imaging modalities. Because our physicians practice within a high-volume clinical environment and are active investigators in a wide array of clinical trials and research studies, they are experienced in the analysis of both novel and standard-of-care imaging modalities. Our physicians have expertise in the following imaging modalities:
Echocardiography
- Systolic/Diastolic myocardial function myocardial function
- Valvular function (stenosis/regurgitation)
- Chamber characteristics (hypertrophy/enlargement)
- Extracardiac abnormalities (pericardial/aortic)
Vascular Ultrasound
- Atherosclerotic burden
- Vessel dimensions and/or stenosis
- Stent and graft patency
- Carotid Intima Thickness (IMT)
Invasive Angiography
- Minimum lumen diameter
- Reference vessel diameter
- Percent diameter stenosis
- Stenosis length
- Pressure gradient across stenosis
Cardiac Computed Tomography
- Cardiac anatomy and function
- Aortic and peripheral visualization
- Coronary atherosclerotic burden (calcified/non-calcified plaque)
Magnetic Resonance Angiography
- Arterial stenosis
- Venous diseases
- Assessment of novel contrast agents
- Assessment of atheroma volume and atheroma characteristics
Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- Ventricular mass, volume, and function
- Myocardial viability and scar imaging
- Myocardial perfusion imaging
- Quantification of valvular regurgitation
Nuclear Imaging
- Regional myocardial perfusion (ischemia/infarct)
- Systolic myocardial function (ejection fraction)
- Myocardial viability
Transcranial Doppler
- Flow analysis for carotid intervention
- Confirmation of patent foramen ovale (PFO) closure
- Quantitative analysis of emboli during cardiovascular procedures
Optical Coherence Tomography
- Adequacy of stent strut apposition
- Edge dissection
- Stent endothelization versus restenosis
- Plaque fibrous capsule thickness
Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS)
- Atherosclerosis location, severity, and composition
- Degree and location of neointima hyperplasia
- Arterial remodeling
- Stent deployment/apposition
